LOS ANGELES — Jon Landau, an Oscar-winning maker who worked intimately with chief James Cameron on three of the greatest blockbusters ever, “Titanic” and two “Symbol” films, has kicked the bucket. He was 63.
Landau’s family reported his passing on Saturday. No reason for death was given.

Landau’s profession started during the 1980s as a creation director, and he slowly rose through the positions, filling in as a co-maker on “Honey I Contracted the Children” and “Dick Tracy.”
