and explodes at a bridge checkpoint on the American side in Niagara Falls incident captured by surveillance cameras
the vehicle going airborne before it explodes into flames two people inside that vehicle killed incident raising
concerns and prompting added security measures on both sides of the Border but at this time officials say there’s no
indication of a terrorist attack according to the news

has the very latest a massive police presence at the US Canada Border
along the Rainbow Bridge near Niagara Falls FBI agents leading the investigation into a fatal explosion on the US side
any time uh a piece of infrastructure as important to Canada and the United States like a border crossing sees this kind
of violent uh circumstance it’s a source of concern for the government of Canada and for the United States you can see
remnants of a car charred metal and smoke Rising into the air sources tell, that investigators discovered
a suitcase or briefcase on scene the bomb squad handling the package sources also saying the vehicle was seen on surveillance
footage stopped at an initial security checkpoint before speeding up and crashing into the second checkpoint it’s unclear what
caused the explosion this is an evolving situation uh information is coming uh into Canadian authorities from their American
counterparts uh literally minute by minute authorities shutting down the bridge along with others in the area we will continue to
be engaged we will provide updates uh updates I can give right now is there are four border crossings that are right now closed local
law enforcement also placing Canan officers on each of the international Bridges cars being searched at Buffalo airport out of an
abundance of caution New York Governor Cathy hokel is traveling to the area as the investigation continues attorney general Merrick

coming from public news according to four senior law enforcement officials briefed on the situation the explosion uh in Niagara Falls
was caused as a result of a vehicle crashing into the checkpoint structure at the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls at the US Canada

border the vehicle was traveling at a very high rate of speed we are told it hit the structure caught on fire and then exploded an
initial search according to these officials did not find a secondary explosive or device that is there’s no initial indication so
far of a bomb in the car uh there are two casualties we are told those are the occupants of the vehicle authorities are now trying to

determine whether the incident was intentional and if so what was the motive here all of this of course subject to change as

more evidence is collected Ed but uh the information given by senior law enforcement officials to public. indicates a vehicle
hitting that border uh guard position at a high rate of speed then bursting into flames and then exploding uh no indication so far
of a bomb on board that vehicle but uh two casualties do appear to be the occupants of the vehicle Tyler that’s what we have for right now.
